Paint colours I’ve used and loved in my home

One of the questions I’m asked most often is which paint colours we’ve used throughout our homes. Over the years, across both our Victorian terrace in London and our current home in Newcastle, I’ve naturally gravitated towards muted, calming shades — colours that feel timeless, easy to live with, and that work well together across different rooms.

I’ve pulled together a full list of the paint colours we’ve used so far, room by room.

If you’re trying to choose paint colours yourself, my biggest tip is not to overcomplicate it. Most of the colours we’ve used across both houses sit in that softer, muted palette, which makes it much easier to mix shades from different brands without the house feeling disjointed.

Sampling is always worth doing properly as well. Colours can look completely different depending on the light in a room and the time of day, so testing a few options first can save you from repainting later.
